Compensation and Benefits


We believe in offering our employees competitive rates of pay and full benefit programs. Efforts are made to personalize our compensation and benefit programs with each employee to meet individual needs. Offering a wide variety of benefit programs, many of which are flexible. By flexibility, we mean that each employee can choose some benefits over others to receive the ideal compensation & benefit package specificaly taylored to thier needs.

For employees regardless of status, we offers the following:

Worker’s Compensation Insurance
Safety is imperative; however, sometimes things happen and we want to make sure our employees receive full benefits as provided by law.

Direct Deposit
If you want your check deposited into your account, we can provide direct deposit services for you.

Employee Discounts
We receive many employee discounts from various businesses including Arts a la Carte, Legoland, Six Flags Marine World, Elephant Bar Restaurant, and Denny’s to name a few.

Employee Assistance Program
Our employees are able to gain help with personal or financial problems through our employee assistance program at no initial cost to the employee.

For employees with a status of part time or more, Burger offers all of the above PLUS (Note: Benefits will be pro-rated)

Paid Time Off
This benefit gives you as much flexibility as possible when you need or want time off. The program combines vacation, holiday and sick leave into one flexible plan. We have different accrual rates that can be negotiated with your compensation plan.

Continuing Education
Professional development is important to all of us here at Burger. That is why we offer unlimited free online education to eligible employees at Continuing Education

Professional Dues
National or Chapter: We will pay 50% (full time status rate) of your National or Chapter dues. We not only “belong” in the Burger group, we can also participate in our peer support group at an affordable price with this type of help our company provides.

Retirement Benefits - 401 (k) Plan
You can participate in your own retirement planning by contributing to your 401 (k) account. Your contributions are pre-tax. You are able to enter the plan as of the first pay period following 90 days of employment. A Company match contribution is determined annually. The amount of the Company contribution is dependent on how well the Company does so ultimately, we all have a hand in how our 401(k) will grow.

For employees with a status of 20 or more hours per week, Burger offers all of the above PLUS:

Medical Coverage
You have a choice of multiple medical insurance plans so you can choose the one that works best for you and your family. Burger subsidizes premium payments to help make insurance more affordable. Your insurance will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment in your benefit eligible position.

Dental Coverage
We offer a comprehensive PPO dental plan with a wide array of dentists to choose from. Your insurance will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment in your benefit eligible position.

Vision
We offer a comprehensive vision plan through VSP, offering the best in eyecare and eyewear.

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
This program saves you money by allowing you to pay for dependent care from pre-tax income.

Health Savings Accounts
We offer the opportunity for an employee to open a Health Savings Account if you choose one of our high deductible health insurance plans.

For employees with a status of 30 or more hours per week, Burger offers all of the above PLUS:

Life Insurance and Long Term Disability Plans
We pays for life insurance and long term disability plans for employees. Your insurances will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment in your benefit eligible position.

Voluntary Insurances
Burger, in conjunction with the AFLAC Company, offers employees the options of participating in numerous voluntary insurance programs including supplemental life, cancer and short term disability. Your insurances will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment in your benefit eligible position.
